BRIEF
The client needed durable, long-lasting graffiti protection for the building’s brickwork and ground-level granite. ECOCLEAN was engaged to apply Ultra Graffiti Shield over ECOTONE’s custom finishes — Minsil and Matt on the brickwork and Matt Plus on the granite — preserving the heritage tones of the brickwork and the sophisticated dark layered finish of the granite, while ensuring the façade remained visually striking and highly resilient against vandalism and environmental wear.
MATERIAL & APPLICATION
ECOCLEAN Ultra Graffiti Shield
OUTCOME
Located in the heart of Sydney’s emerging Tech Central precinct, 477 on Pitt is a significant revitalisation of an existing commercial building. ECOCLEAN was proud to contribute to the project’s sustainable approach by protecting the existing façade rather than replacing it, helping to conserve embodied carbon, reduce waste, and extend the life of the original structure. By applying Ultra Graffiti Shield, we ensured the building’s brickwork and granite surfaces remained durable, easy to maintain, and safeguarded against vandalism, while supporting the architectural vision for a modern yet heritage-sensitive exterior.
It was an honour for ECOCLEAN to be part of this award-winning project, helping preserve its heritage, enhance its façade, and contribute to a sustainable, future-ready design.
”Integrated, urban retrofit approaches are especially important to deliver resilient, sustainable cities….477 Pitt Street is an exemplar of adaptive reuse and the renewal of an entire city block to be more sustainable
