To create a low-maintenance solution that would provide an easy-to-clean surface for the concrete furniture, shielding it against the threats of spills, stains, graffiti, and marks
MATERIAL & APPLICATION
ECOCLEAN Clean and Protect Shield
OUTCOME
Following a stunning colour application by our sister company ECOTONE, our Clean and Protect Shield was applied to the concrete bench seating in the food court. By using this ion exchange catalyst, the concrete will have long-term anti-bacterial, anti-virus and anti-fungal benefits even in low light and low-temperature conditions. In addition, the surface will have enhanced graffiti resistance with fast and easy removal of repeat tags. The perfect choice for this internal high traffic project.
”The design mission of this precinct at Canberra Centre was to ‘make a statement’, blur the lines between inside and outside, connect the space to the ideals of Canberra as a ‘Garden City’ and to create humanised public spaces.
